We believe at Messiah that we are a community of faith, standing hand in hand around Jesus, the Tree of Life! We believe that everything we do in worship must lead us to care for those who are hurting in our church, in our community and in our world. To that end we involve ourselves in various ministries of outreach every week. We support in our yearly budget Synod Benevolence, Campus Ministry, Lutheran Camps, Domestic Abuse Shelter and various other charities. More importantly than simply our money however, we also support with time and volunteers many community social outreach programs such as:

This is a brief overview of the outreach work of Messiah. In all we do we must carry on the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ to reach out to those who are most in need. Kennedy Elementary Adopt-A-School Partnership

Messiah Lutheran Church working with the Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools and our neighbor, Kennedy Elementary has created a partnership with the goal of improving student achievement. The partnership consists of three resource components: Human – Financial – Material. Currently, Kennedy is participating in Box Tops for Education. Please bring your box tops to the church office, according to the following directions:

Box Tops for Education

Please help Kennedy Elementary collect 20,000 Box Tops for Education labels. Each label is worth 10 cents for our school. These labels can be found on many food and household items you purchase. So any time you see a label that looks like this clip it and save it!

Last year, Kennedy Elementary collected more than 17,000 labels which totaled more than $1700 for our school. Those funds helped offset costs for field trips, assembly events and classroom needs. Because Kennedy Elementary collects Box Top labels year round, please ask your family, friends and neighbors to save them for our school.

How to help:
1. Clip the Box Top label
2. Place loose Box Top labels in a sealed baggie or envelope
3. Drop off at church office
