Senior Recognition - June 8, 2025

Each year Messiah celebrates our graduating seniors with a special blessing during our church services.

They are presented a prayer shawl made by our Prayer Shawl Ministry to remind them of all the people in their church family who love and support them as they move on to the next journey of their life.

Joan E. Shropshire Education Grant Information

This fund has been created in memory of Joan E. Shropshire, who passed away July 18, 2015 and commenced the fall of 2017.

The Joan E. Shropshire Education Grant Fund has been created to provide a one-time educational assistance grant for those students pursuing higher education from an accredited college, university or technical school.

Messiah Lutheran Church council members have been designated to administer the Education Fund.

On an annual basis, the Messiah Executive Committee of the church council will determine the availability of grant monies to be distributed to potential applicants. This program may be amended, suspended and/or terminated on the advice of the church council.

If you are interested in receiving the education grant, please read the guidelines to be sure you qualify, then complete the application and return it to the church office.
